The image of Gui Si
A warm shower falls on sun-baked stones, and the air fills with steam. Gui (癸) is Yin Water, rain, dew and mist, the moisture you feel before you see it. The Snake (巳, si) is early-summer Fire and the late-morning hours when the sun climbs toward noon. Water controls Fire, which makes the Snake's Bing (丙) Fire your Direct Wealth (正财, zheng cai): heat you can harness rather than a flame that consumes you.
Gui meets the Snake at the Conception (胎, tai) stage of the twelve-stage cycle (十二长生, shi er chang sheng): potential forming quietly inside something larger.
