How the Rat and Dragon fit together
The Rat's branch, Zǐ (子), is Water, and the Dragon's, Chén (辰), is Earth. On the elemental level Earth contains Water, but these branches share something stronger: both belong to the Water Trine (sān hé, 三合), a three-sign alliance completed by the Monkey.
